presentation of the Citizen Patrol Volunteer of
the Year award, Coordinator of the Year Award and Citizen Patrol
Action Award.
Keynote
Speaker: U.S. Marshal for the Central District of California,
the Honorable David S. Singer as appointed by the President of the
United States of America.
20 Minute Break
10:30 to 11:30:
"Law and Order, Behind the Scenes of the DA's
Office"
Speaker: Investigator Long Nguyen, Riverside County District
Attorneys Office
Former Los Angeles Police Detective and now District
Attorney Investigator, Mr. Nguyen will take you behind the
scenes of a DA's office to show you what happens after an arrest
is made. You'll learn first hand how in some cases, the work has
just begun as DA Investigators dig deeper into cases to help the
police and the DA find truth and justice for all !
11:30 - 1:30
Lunch and Networking Time. This special period
can be
used for attendees to eat lunch and meet with others from
throughout California and beyond, take pictures and view the many C.O.P.
Patrol Cars onsite from various groups and complete your agency ballot cards for the various awards to be
given at days end. For lunch there are dozens of quality
restaurants within one mile of the conference ranging from fast
food to sit down such as the Yard House, PF Chang's, California
Pizza, etc.

1:45 Citizen Action
Award Presentation.
This year we are very honored and pleased to
present our annual award to two very brave citizens for their
heroic actions in February of this year, 2013, when the two
Riverside CA Police Officers were ambushed and shot by a crazed,
murderous gunman on the lose in Southern California. Join us and
Police Chief Sergio Diaz of the Riverside CA Police Department
to help honor these two brave citizens!

how they were solved sometimes with more grit, determination and
hard work than traditional "CSI", learn what really happens !!

"Protecting our Furry Friends; Animal's
Rights and Laws"
Speaker: Ruff Barksdale
You see a dog tied to a short leash around a tree
in the sun with no water bowl, is that animal abuse or just a
bad owner and what can be done about it? These types of
common situations and questions will be answered as you learn
what rights animals have and what should you do if you suspect
animal abuse. Help protect those who cannot speak for
themselves, our furry friends, other pets and animals!
