COPs For The Troops Kids Program
Please help us support the children of our troops!
Bring an unwrapped Christmas gift for a boy or girl, valued at between $10.00 to $20.00 each to the conference for collection. This year we will be donating all the toys collected to the Armed Services YMCA located at the U.S. Marine Corps base in Twentynine Palms, California to support the children of our deployed U.S. Marines.

9:00am   Opening Statements and Agenda Review. Posting of colors by the El Monte Police VCAP Honor Guard.

9:15am Video Tributes to Citizen Patrol Volunteers and Volunteer Coordinators

"Citizen Patrol Volunteer of the Year" and
"Volunteer Coordinator of the Year",   Award presentations.

9:45am   Keynote Speaker;  Sheriff Paul Babeu, Pinal County, Arizona

15 Minute Break

10:30 to 11:30am:  "Human Smuggling, the Local Connection" Pending Confirmation from ICE as the presenters of this topic.

11:30 - 1:30 Lunch and Networking Time. This special two hour period will be used for attendees to eat lunch and meet with others from throughout California and beyond, from various citizen patrol groups and law enforcement agencies.
Lunch is available at dozens of restaurants within one mile of the conference site. A small cafe is onsite and will be open from 7:00am to 3:00pm with coffee, soda, water and assorted snacks available for purchase. There will be a limited amount of tables and chairs set up in the lobby area during lunch time for those who wish to bring their own lunches to the conference. 

1:30 - 1:45  "2010 Citizen Action Award" Presentation

1:45 - 2:45: "Child Abuse, the Hidden Signs" How to recognize signs of child abuse and most important, who to call and what to do if you suspect it.

15 Minute Break

3:00 - 4:00pm:  "Show Me the Money", 
Presented by: Art Femister, Founder and President of the NACOP and Public Safety Volunteer Institute
During this presentation you'll see and hear how Citizen Patrol units across the nation are using creative ways to help fund their needs to purchase equipment, uniforms, patrol vehicles, operating cost, banquets, awards ceremonies and more!

4:00PM   Awards Presentations for Best in Show Patrol Cars, Most Unique Patrol Vehicle, Best in Show Uniform, etc. as voted by YOU the attendees in addition to, "Furthest Driven Patrol Car", "Furthest Traveled to the Conference" and "Most Attended Agency" recognition awards.

4:15 pm  End of Conference:  "End of Conference Patrol Car Recognition Filming" at a location away from the conference and city streets.
