You are
invited to join the Madera County Sheriff's Department Citizens on
Patrol. Be part of a special group of people that want to take an
active role in preventing crime and helping others in need.

Requirements
1. Be at least 18 years old
2. Pass a background investigation
3. Complete a medical waiver
4. Possess a valid driver license (if you want to be a driver)
5. Complete the Citizen Police Academy
6. Complete a field training program
7. Purchase initial uniform
8. Be able to donate 8 hours of service monthly
Example of Duties
1. Patrol neighborhoods and school zones
2. Patrol school bus stops
3. Assist officers in the field
4. Participate in searches
5. Traffic control
6. Boat patrol for qualified members
7. Attend monthly meetings and other training
